Smoked Fish Surprise |
| 455g (1lb) | Smoked cod or haddock fillets, fresh or defrosted, skinned and cubed | |
| 15g (12oz) | Butter | |
| 115g (4oz) | Broccoli, cut into small florets | |
| 1 | Carrot, peeled and cut into sticks | |
| 150ml (14 pint) | Fish or vegetable stock | |
| 170g (6oz) | Pasta shapes, cooked | |
| Pepper | ||
| 2 x 15ml spoons (2 tablespoons) | Single or double cream | |
| 1 x 5ml spoon (1 teaspoon) | Fresh parsley, chopped |

Heat the butter in a pan. Cook the broccoli and carrot for 1 minute. |

Pour in the fish or vegetable stock. Add the cubed fish. Season, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes. |

Add the pasta and cook for 1-2 minutes or until piping hot. Remove from the heat and stir in the cream. |
| 4 | Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with chunks of crusty bread. |
