The Nation's
Favourite Food
Dear Cookery Online Visitor
I am working on a new series for BBC2 entitled The Nation's Favourite
Food. We have conducted a survey to find out what the favourite foods
are nationwide and we are now looking for enthusiastic amateur cooks to
talk about their favourite meals and the way that they eat. I wondered
if you might be able to help at all in our search for people to take part.
We are making programmes about each meal time - breakfast, lunch, afternoon
tea and dinner and also convenience food, party food, the food of love,
comfort food, festive food, outdoor food and we need to speak to people
who are passionate about each one. I am currently working on the programme
about dinner and I just wondered if you might be able to help me find
people who regularly cook a proper evening meal.
We're trying
to find out if people sit at a table to eat, if they eat alone or with
other members of the household, what dinner means to people and whether
people still hold dinner parties. Would you be able to publicise our search
in some way on your site either through the pages or message board section?
Or do you know enthusiastic amateur cooks? We're particularly looking
for people who have a strong regional identity and a favourite regional
dish. I do hope you will be able to help. If you require more information
or would like to talk more, please don't hesitate to contact me, either
by email or my direct line is 020 8752 4041.
Many thanks and best wishes
Lynda
